🧪 What Is a Genetic Swab?

A genetic swab is a sterile cotton swab used to collect spores from the gills or surface of a mature mushroom cap. This method preserves a clean genetic sample while avoiding the use of syringes or prints.
Swabs are ideal for researchers who wish to isolate strains on agar, create spore solutions, or explore genetic diversity.

Each wholesale pack contains 10 units, and each unit includes:

• 2x sterile cotton swabs with visible spores

• Sterile resealable bag

• Lot number and strain ID label

Strain: B- (Psilocybe cubensis variant)

Short Description:

B- is a lesser-known but intriguing cubensis variant often considered a mutation or natural variation of the popular B+ strain. It shares many of B+’s traits—vigorous growth, large flushes, and resilience—while occasionally expressing lighter cap pigmentation and slightly altered morphology. These swabs are suitable for projects involving spore comparison, mutation tracing, or multispore phenotype expression.
